Terms of Use

Every limit and behaviour described here was read from the running system, not from a plan. If the system changes, this document changes with it.

1. In short

Turjuman translates messages inside the chat apps you already use. You can use it for free within daily limits, or subscribe for higher ones.

The translations are produced by a machine and can be wrong. Read section 5 before you rely on one for anything that matters.

2. Who provides this service

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Nothing here removes a right you have under Korean consumer protection law, which applies regardless of what any agreement says.

3. Your account

You need an account to use Turjuman. You must be at least 14 years old — the age at which Korean law allows a minor to consent to the handling of their own personal information without a guardian.

Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account, except where the cause was our fault.

4. What you can do, and what you cannot

Use Turjuman to translate your own conversations. Do not:

• send content that is illegal in Korea or in the country you are in;
• use it to harass, deceive or impersonate anyone;
• attempt to extract the service's prompts, keys, or other users' data;
• resell the service, or run it through automated systems at a scale the

limits in section 6 are designed to prevent.

We may suspend an account that does any of these. Where the reason is not a legal obligation to act immediately, we will tell you why.

5. Translations are machine-generated — read this one

Turjuman sends your text to a third-party AI model and returns what the model produces. We do not review it, and neither does any person.

That means:

• A translation may be wrong, incomplete, or misleading, including in ways

that are not obvious to you — precisely because you cannot read the other language. That is the situation the app exists for, and it is also why this warning matters.

• Tone, formality and cultural notes are the model's opinion, not fact.

Korean politeness levels carry real social weight, and the model can misjudge them.

• **Do not rely on a Turjuman translation for anything with legal, medical,

financial or safety consequences.** Use a qualified human translator.

You decide what to send. Once you send a translated message in your own chat app, it is your message.

6. Free and paid plans

Free, per day: 20 translation requests, 1 document, and up to 10 requests in any one minute.

Turjuman Pro — KRW 7,000 per month, per day: 200 translation requests, 20 documents, and up to 30 requests in any one minute.

Reading your own stored conversations does not count against the daily limit. Exporting your data and deleting your account are never limited, never counted, and never require a subscription — see section 8.

Limits are per calendar day in your local time and reset on a rolling basis. We may change them; if a change reduces what a paid subscription gives you, we will tell you before it takes effect.

7. Subscription, renewal and cancellation

Turjuman Pro is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple.

• Length: one month.
• Price: KRW 7,000 per month, charged to your Apple Account.
• Renewal: it renews automatically at the end of each month unless you

cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.

• Cancelling: in iOS, Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Cancelling

stops the next renewal; you keep Pro until the period you already paid for ends.

• Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. Cancel it in

Settings.

Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us. We cannot issue, approve or refuse one. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. Korean consumer law gives you rights in addition to Apple's policy, and those still apply.

We treat Apple as the source of truth for what you have paid for. If Apple tells us a subscription is active, you get Pro; if Apple tells us it has lapsed or was refunded, access returns to the free plan.

8. Your data, and getting it back

How your messages are handled — what is encrypted, what is not, and who can see what — is set out in the Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms.

Two things are worth repeating here because they are rights, not features:

• You can export everything at any time. It is never limited and never

requires a subscription.

• You can delete your account at any time, which deletes your messages and

conversations. It is never limited and never requires a subscription.

Uploaded documents are deleted automatically within 24 hours.

9. Availability

We do not promise that Turjuman is always available. It depends on services we do not control — Apple, our translation providers, and the networks between them. We may change or stop features.

If we stop the service entirely, we will give you notice in the app with enough time to export your data, and we will not charge for a renewal after that notice.

10. Our liability

Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that Korean law does not allow to be limited.

Otherwise, and to the extent Korean law allows: we are not liable for consequences that follow from a translation being wrong, for anything you send based on one, or for lost profits or opportunities. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim — which, on the free plan, is nothing.

This is not us disclaiming a duty to build the thing properly. It is the limit of what a one-person service at KRW 7,000 a month can carry, stated plainly rather than buried.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. If a change materially reduces your rights or what you get for a payment, we will tell you in the app before it applies, and you may cancel.

The date at the top is the version you are reading. Continuing to use Turjuman after a change means you accept it.
